Meet Your Therapist.
Nina Carter Cohen, MA, LPC.
Hi, I’m Nina.
My life hasn’t turned out as expected, but here I am, thriving. I've faced deep personal losses and major life upheavals, which make me uniquely capable of sitting with others in their darkest moments.
My "secret sauce" is an innate ability to meet clients where they are, creating a safe, supportive environment from the start. I'm warm and compassionate, even when asking tough questions, always with the client's best interest at heart.
My clients know I'm on their team, and there's nothing I ask them to do that I haven't done myself. I'm dedicated to my own growth and therapy, and to bringing not just my qualifications but my whole, authentic self to every session.

The profound experiences of grief won't quickly disappear, but finding support can ease the journey. Through therapy, you can gain the tools to navigate challenging emotions and situations.
→ Feeling the emptiness in places where you once shared laughs with your partner, or facing the daily sting of your child’s unused seat at the table.
→ Memories of your final talk with a friend who’s gone too soon, haunted by doubts
about what you could’ve missed or said differently.
→ Catching your reflection and not recognizing the person staring back, as you grapple with the aftermath of a breakup, job loss, or a faith that no longer feels right.
→ Opening the door to a home that’s too quiet, missing the excited barks or gentle purrs, carrying the weight of a presence that’s painfully absent.
→ Feeling like you’re losing pieces of yourself with each loss, caught in the unsettling reality of not knowing who you’ll be next.
